Section 8-B1215. BASIS FOR PAYMENT

1215.1Salary schedules for administrative employees shall be determined by the Board of Trustees (the "Board") upon recommendation of the President, with final approval by the Mayor.
1215.2Compensation for all administrative employees shall be based on the applicable salary schedule grade as reflected in the classification of the position for which the employee is hired.
1215.3Administrators serving in acting status may be compensated at the salary level of the grade of the position. Compensation shall be reported to or confirmed by the Board in the same manner as the appointment.
1215.4Upon termination of an acting assignment, the employee's salary shall revert back to the permanent level, adjusted for changes that would have accrued if the employee had served continually in the permanent assignment.
1215.5Whenever a position is reclassified to a higher grade, the incumbent in that reclassified position may be promoted to the grade of the reclassified position.
1215.6Tier I Educational Service employees may be granted merit or equity salary adjustments, or both, on an annual basis. The awarding of merit or equity salary increases to these employees shall be governed by the availability of funds for this purpose and shall be based on documented performance or equity considerations.
1215.7The criteria for salary adjustments, including maximum and minimum allowable increases and any other appropriate guidelines, shall be issued on an annual basis by the President.
1215.8Under personnel regulations applicable as of December 31, 1979, Tier II Educational Service employees shall be eligible for within-grade salary increases based on performance and longevity.
