Section 8-B125. RULEMAKING RULES

    125.1  The provisions of this section shall govern the adoption, amendment, and repeal of rules by the Board in accordance with D.C. Official Code § 2-505(a).  As used in this section, any action taken to adopt, amend, and repeal rules in accordance with § 2-505(a) shall be referred to as “rulemaking.”

     

    125.2The official policies of the Board shall be set forth in the Rules of the University of the District of Columbia and codified in Title 8 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations ("DCMR").

     

    125.3Each proposed, emergency, and final rulemaking action by the Board of Trustees to adopt, amend, or repeal all or any part of a rule shall be by majority vote, with a quorum of the Board being present.

     

    125.4Each rulemaking action by the Board shall be pursuant to a recommendation from the Board committee with jurisdiction over the subject matter of the rule.

     

    125.5Rulemaking recommendations of a Board committee shall be subject to amendment on the floor at the meeting of the full Board at which the rulemaking action is considered.
