Section 8-B1303. VACATION LEAVE: CHANGE IN EMPLOYMENT STATUS

    1303.1If an employee resigns, is terminated, or changes to faculty status, the employee may choose to use accumulated leave or to receive a lump sum payment. The choice shall be made at the time of the change in status.

     

    1303.2Lump sum payments shall not exceed payment for thirty (30) days of accumulated vacation leave.

     

    1303.3Employees who resign regular staff employment shall be required to give at least two (2) weeks notice in order to receive payment for unused leave.

     

    1303.4When an employee transfers from one position to another within the University (without change to faculty status), the employee's unused vacation balance shall transfer with the employee.
