    1307.1An employee who is called to serve as a member of any jury shall be permitted to be absent from duties without loss of pay and without charge against any leave. However, if an employee is paid for jury service, the employee shall take vacation leave or leave-without-pay during the period of absence, unless the jury service fee is nominal, in which case the fee check may be endorsed to the University and no leave charged.

     

    1307.2If, after reporting for jury duty, the court determines that the employee's services are not required and the employee is dismissed for the day, if time will permit, the employee shall return to work.

     

    1307.3An employee summoned by subpoena to appear as a non-paid witness in a court action shall be permitted to be absent from duty, as required by the subpoena, without loss of pay and without charge against any leave.

     

    1307.4If an employee is paid for his services as a witness, the employee shall take vacation leave or leave-without-pay, unless the witness fee is nominal, in which case the fee check may be endorsed to the University and no leave charged.
