Section 8-B1500. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1500.1The provisions of this chapter shall be followed when an adverse action is to be taken against an employee of the University.
1500.2The provisions of this chapter shall apply to the following personnel actions:
(a)Dismissal;
(b)Suspension without pay;
(c)Demotion for unsatisfactory performance; and
(d)Written reprimand.
1500.3The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any of the following personnel actions:
(a)Termination of a temporary or probationary appointment;
(b)Reduction-in-force;
(c)Reassignment; or
(d)Memorandum of counseling.
1500.4For purposes of this chapter, the personnel authority to effect adverse actions shall be the President of the University or a designee of the President.
