Section 8-B1520. FACULTY DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS AND TERMINATION FOR CAUSE

    1520.1The provisions of §§1520 through 1525 shall apply only to members of the University faculty.

     

    1520.2Faculty termination for cause shall be based upon the grounds for adverse action set forth in §1601(d) of D.C. Law 2-139.

     

    1520.3Discipline or termination for unfitness to perform shall be based upon a record of unsatisfactory performance in an employee's role as a faculty member as determined by the pattern and results of formal departmental evaluations or any of the following:

     

    (a)Persistent dereliction of duties;

     

    (b)Gross personal or professional misconduct that would invoke widespread condemnation by the academic community in general;

     

    (c)Conviction of a felony; or

     

    (d)Evidence of physical or mental incapacity based upon clear and convincing medical evidence.
