Section 8-B3007. SIMPLIFIED PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES: MICRO PURCHASES

  • 3007.1A procurement for ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or less shall be considered a micro-purchase and may be made without obtaining competition if the contracting officer determines the price to be fair and reasonable.

     

    3007.2Certified local, small, or disadvantaged businesses shall be considered for micro-purchases to the maximum extent practicable.

     

    3007.3Micro-purchase requirements shall be spread equitably among suppliers to ensure usage of as many suppliers as possible and to provide procurement opportunities to as many suppliers as possible.  

     

    3007.4Micro-purchase requirements may be processed and paid for utilizing the University’s purchase card upon implementation of the University’s purchase card program.
