Section 8-B411. BUSINESS ENTERPRISES AND SALES OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

    411.1The University shall not enter into competition with private industry for sales to the public.

     

    411.2Private business enterprises shall not be operated on any campus of the University.

     

    411.3Any business enterprise on a University campus shall be operated as an auxiliary enterprise, subject to negotiated agreements with the University, and shall be under the direct management, control, and supervision of the Chief Business Officer of the University.

     

    411.4The University shall not be prohibited from furnishing services and supplies to dining halls or cafeterias; to University facilities which serve students, faculty, or staff; or to pre-school, day-care, or youth recreation programs conducted by the University.

     

    411.5The University shall not allow persons other than members of the University community and their guests to purchase meals in University cafeterias or other facilities; Provided, that when space is not available where civic groups or organized service organizations may conveniently hold meetings, the school may continue to serve these groups in the dining halls or cafeterias.
