Section 8-B515. SMOKING RESTRICTION

515.1Pursuant to the provisions of the District of Columbia Smoking Restriction Act of 1979, as amended, D.C. Code. § 6-911, et seq. (the “Act”), smoking shall be prohibited in all University facilities, including all portions of buildings and structures owned or leased by the University.

515.2The President shall ensure that all employees are notified of the smoking restriction set forth in this section and that signs or notices are posted in all areas where required, in accordance with the provisions of D.C. Code § 6-915, and Title 20 DCMR, §§ 1501 and 1503.

515.3The President shall provide for the strict enforcement of the provisions of this section and ensure that all supervisors enforce the smoking restriction in the workplace areas under their supervision.
