    NOTICE OF FINAL RULEMAKING

     

     

    FORMAL CASE NO. 1017, IN THE MATTER OF THE DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGNATION OF STANDARD OFFER SERVICE IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

     

    1.                  The Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (“Commission”) hereby gives notice of its final rulemaking action, taken in Order No. 17345, to approve, pursuant to Section 34-802 of the District of Columbia Official Code,[1] and in accordance with Section 2-505 of the District of Columbia Official Code,[2] the tariff of the Potomac Electric Power Company (“Pepco”).

     

    2.                  In its filing, Pepco asserts that its proposed tariff amendment updates the retail transmission rates included in the Rider Standard Offer Service “to reflect the current Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (‘FERC’) approved wholesale transmission rates, which went into effect [on] June 1, 2013.”[3]  Specifically, Pepco proposes to amend the following thirteen (13) tariff pages:

    3.                  The Commission issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NOPR”) which was published in the D.C. Register on November 22, 2013.[4]  No comments were filed in response to the NOPR.  By Order No, 17345, the Commission approved Pepco’s proposed tariff.  The application of the revised retail transmission rates shall commence with the billing cycle beginning on February 1, 2014.
