    NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE

     

    Request Filed by

    The Citizens Association of Georgetown (CAG) and the

    Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2E (ANC 2E) to

    Restrict New Seating at the Existing Retailers’

    Class C and D Licenses located  

    In Georgetown Court/Prospect Place, NW

     

                The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (Board) announces a public hearing to receive testimony on the requests of ANC 2E and CAG to restrict new seating at the existing Retailer’s Class C and D licenses all within the proposed moratorium zone.  The area to be covered by the moratorium on license amendments requesting additional seating is the “locality” of 600 feet from the licensed establishment known as Café Milano at 3251 Prospect Street, NW.  This establishment is located within Georgetown Court/Prospect Place NW.  The retailers’ class of licenses to be covered by the additional seating moratorium are:  CN, CR, CT, CX, DN, DR, DT, and DX.  There are thirty (30) retailers’ class C and D in the proposed moratorium zone.

    The hearing will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at 1250 U Street, NW, Board Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, Washington, D.C. 20009.  Individuals who wish to testify should contact Cynthia Simms at 202/442-4496 or by e-mail at cynthia.simms@ dc.gov by March 19, 2010.  E-mail contacts should include the full name, title, and affiliation – if applicable – of the person(s) testifying.  Witnesses should bring nine (9) copies of their written testimony to the Board.
