Security at the DC Public Library

Councilmember Tommy Wells, Chairperson of the Committee on Libraries, Parks, Recreation, and Planning, will convene a public oversight roundtable to discuss security at the DC Public Library. The roundtable will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012, beginning at 2 pm in Room 412 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004.
The purpose of the roundtable is to discuss security issues at the DC Public Library, including recent computer thefts, the Fiscal Year 2013 budget allocation for improved security systems, and other related issues.
The Committee encourages the public to testify. Those who wish to testify should contact Ms. Tawanna Shuford at (202) 727-8204 or tshuford@dccouncil.us before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
