IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

 

October 2, 2012

 

 

To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve Contract No. GAGA-2008-C-0206 contract modifications Nos. 5A and 7 with American Express Travel Related Services Co., Inc. on behalf of the District of Columbia Public Schools Office of Contracts and Acquisitions to revise the contract ceiling amounts.

 

 

            RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the “Contract No. GAGA-2008-C-0206 Contract Modifications Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2012”.

 

            Sec. 2. (a)  There exists an immediate need to approve Contract No. GAGA-2008-C-0206 Contract Modifications Nos. 5A and 7 to continue the internet-based ordering of supplies and equipment for schools and programs and to authorize payment for services received and to be received under this contract.

            (b)  Council approval is necessary to allow the continuation of the internet-based ordering of supplies and equipment for schools and programs to be provided for total estimated not-to-exceed amounts of $9 million for option year 2 and $9 million for option year 3.

Sec. 3.  The Council of the District of Columbia determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Contract No. GAGA-2008-C-0206 Contract Modifications Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Act of 2012 be adopted after a single reading.

 

Sec.  4.  This resolution shall take effect immediately.
