To confirm the reappointment of Ms. Iris M. Chavez to the Police Complaints Board.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the “Police Complaints Board Iris M. Chavez Confirmation Resolution of 2012”.
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:
Ms. Iris M. Chavez
1322 Florida Avenue, N.W., Unit B
Washington, D.C. 20009
(Ward 1)
as a member of the Police Complaints Board, established by section 5 of the Office of Citizen Complaint Review Establishment Act of 1998, effective March 26, 1999 (D.C. Law 12-208; D.C. Official Code § 5-1104), for a term to end January 12, 2015.
Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
