NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
Request made by Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC 1C) for an Amendment to the Adams Morgan Liquor License Moratorium Zone that would carve out the 1700 Block of Florida Avenue, NW
from the Adams Morgan Moratorium Zone
The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (Board) announces a public hearing to receive testimony on the request of ANC 1C to carve out the 1700 Block of Florida Avenue, NW, from the Adams Morgan Liquor License Moratorium Zone. ANC 1C has requested that the Board amend the existing Adams Morgan moratorium to permit the issuance of new class “DR” retailer’s licenses in the 1700 block of Florida Avenue, NW. ANC 1C is requesting that any new class “DR” retailer’s licenses issued in this area not be permitted to convert to any other license class during the remaining time period of the existing Adams Morgan Moratorium. The Adams Morgan Moratorium Zone extends approximately fourteen (1400) hundred feet in all directions from the intersection of 18th Street and Belmont Road, NW, Washington, DC. The hearing will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at 941 North Capitol Street, NE, Board Hearing Room, Washington, D.C. 20002.
