IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve a multiyear modification to a contract with Deloitte Consulting LLP to develop a new classification system for approximately 16,000 District employees.

 

            RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the “Modifications to Contract No. ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­DCBE-2009-F-9996 Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2012”.

 

            Sec. 2. (a) The Office of Contracting and Procurement, on behalf of the Department of Human Resources, proposes to enter into a multiyear modification  to Contract No. DCBE-2009-F-9996 with Deloitte Consulting LLP to develop a new classification system for approximately 16,000 District employees.

            (b)   The estimated total expenditure under this multiyear contract with Deloitte Consulting LLP is $1,968,198.92. 

(c)  Council approval is necessary to allow the District to receive the benefit of vital services, which can be obtained only through an award of the multiyear contract with Deloitte Consulting LLP.

 

            Sec. 3.  The Council of the District of Columbia determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Modifications to Contract No. ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­DCBE-2009-F-9996 Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Act of 2012 be adopted after a single reading.

 

            Sec. 4.  This resolution shall take effect immediately.
