    PR19-1047 THE “BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA MS. ALEJANDRA Y. CASTILLO CONFIRMATION RESOLUTION OF 2012”

      PR19-1048 THE “BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERISTY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA DR. GABRIELA D. LEMUS CONFIRMATION RESOLUTION

    OF 2012”

    On November 16, 2012, Councilmember Kenyan R. McDuffie, Chairperson of the Committee on Jobs and Workforce Development, will convene a public roundtable on PR19-1047 The “Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia Ms. Alejandra Castillo Confirmation Resolution of 2012” and  PR19-1048 The “Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia Dr. Gabriela D. Lemus Confirmation Resolution of 2012” Room 412 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Ave, NW at 10:00 AM on November 16, 2012.

               

    The purpose of PR 19-1047 and PR 19-1048 is to confirm the Mayoral appointments of Ms. Alejandra Y. Castillo and Dr. Gabriela D. Lemus as Board members of the Board of Trustees if the University of the District of Columbia. The purpose of the roundtable is to receive testimony from government and public witnesses as to the fitness of the nominees for the position as Board members of the Board of Trustees for the University of the District of Columbia

     

    The Committee invites the public to testify or to submit written testimony, which will be made a part of the official record. Anyone wishing to testify at the roundtable should contact Mr. Ronan Gulstone, Interim Committee Director at (202) 724-8028, or via e-mail at rgulstone@dccouncil.us, and provide their name, address, telephone number, organizational affiliation and title (if any) by close of business Monday, November 14, 2012.  Representatives of organizations will be allowed a maximum of five (5) minutes for oral presentation and individuals will be allowed a maximum of three (3) minutes for oral presentation. Witnesses should bring 10 copies of their written testimony and if possible submit a copy of their testimony electronically to rgulstone@dccouncil.us.

     

    If you are unable to testify at the roundtable, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record.  Copies of written statements should be submitted either to the Committee, or to Ms. Nyasha Smith, Secretary to the Council, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Suite 5, Washington, D.C. 20004.  The record will close at the end of the business day on November 23, 2012. This roundtable is revised to reflect a change in date.
