OFFICE OF DOCUMENTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE ISSUANCES
ERRATA NOTICE
The Administrator of the Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances (ODAI), pursuant to the authority set forth in section 309 of the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act, approved October 21, 1968 (82 Stat. 1203; D.C. Official Code § 2-559 (2011 Repl.), hereby gives notice of a correction to the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR) as amended by Notice of Final Rulemaking (Notice) published in the D.C. Register at 53 DCR 837 (February 10, 2006). The Notice created a new section 4609 in title 17 (Business, Occupations, and Professions) entitled, “Standards for the Use of Controlled Substances for the Treatment of Pain.” However, a section 4609 entitled, “Physician’s Profile,” already existed in the DCMR at the time. The Department of Health inadvertently re-used the number 4609 as the section number but did not intend to repeal and replace the previously existing section 4609.
As a result of this error, two section 4609s exist in the DCMR with different headings. In order to absolve any confusion this may cause, this Errata Notice will renumber the section 4609 that was created by the 2006 Notice (i.e., Standards for the Use of Controlled Substances for the Treatment of Pain). The new section number is 4616. This change does not alter the meaning, intent, or application of the rule, nor have any other changes been made to the rule since publication.
Any questions or comments regarding this notice shall be addressed by mail to Victor L. Reid, Esq., Administrator, Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances, 441 4th Street, N.W., Suite 520 South, Washington, D.C. 20001, or via telephone at (202) 727-5090.
