    NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING

    The Administrator of the Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances (ODAI), pursuant to section 3 of the District of Columbia Documents Act, effective March 6, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-153; D.C. Official Code § 2-612(2) (2011 Repl.)) hereby gives notices of the intent to adopt amendments to chapter 3 (Rules of the Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances) of title 1 (Mayor and Executive Agencies) of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR).  The proposed rulemaking would amend section 309 (Proposed Rulemaking Notices) by specifying when the final day for receiving public comments shall occur in the event the last day falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday.

    The Administrator gives notice of taking final rulemaking action no less than thirty (30) days after publication of this notice in the D.C. Register

    Chapter 3, RULES OF THE OFFICE OF DOCUMENTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE ISSUANCES, of title 1, MAYOR AND EXECUTIVE AGENCIES, of the DCMR is amended as follows:

    Section 309, PROPOSED RULEMAKING NOTICES, is amended by adding a new subsection 309.6 to read as follows:

    309.6               If the last day of the comment period falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the last day is extended to the next business day.

    Subsection 309.6 is renumbered 309.7.

    All persons desiring to comment on the subject matter of this proposed rulemaking action shall submit written comments, not later than thirty (30) days after the date of publication of this notice in the D.C. Register.  Comments should be addressed to Victor L.
