Notice of Public Hearing on the

 

“Second Draft Fiscal Year 2011-2015 Consolidated Plan

and Fiscal Year 2011 Annual Action Plan for the District of Columbia”

 

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announces the release of the second draft of these documents, available to the public May 18, 2010, in order to receive public comments on the Plan and budgets to be submitted to the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the following federal entitlement programs:  

·         Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG)

·         HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)

·         Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG)

·         Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program (HOPWA)

 

Both documents will be available for review on the Department’s website www.dhcd.dc.gov, on May 18, 2010, and in hard copy, no later than May 20, 2010, at the Department’s offices at 1800 MLK Jr. Ave., SE, Washington, DC 20020, at the Housing Resource Center, 1^st Floor. Additionally, copies will be available at all public library branches, ANC offices, and the following community-based organizations:

The Department has scheduled a public hearing on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 6 p.m., at our headquarters located at 1800 MLK Jr., Ave. SE, inside the first floor conference room.

 

Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) relay service will be provided by calling [phone].  Sign language interpretation and language translation services will be available upon request by calling Ms. Pamela Hillsman, seven days prior to the hearing on [phone].  Persons, who require interpretation or language translation, must specify the language of preference (i.e. Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese-Mandarin/Cantonese, Amharic, or French).  Language interpretation service will be provided to pre-registered persons only. Department of Housing and Community Development staff who are bilingual in English and Spanish will be available to provide interpreter service on an availability basis to walk-ins without registration.

All comments received during the comment period will be responded to in the final draft of the FY2011-FY2015 Consolidated Plan and FY2011 Action Plan, to be submitted to the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by August 13, 2010.
