NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING
TT 12-1, IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF VERIZON WASHINGTON DC, INC., FOR AUTHORITY TO AMEND THE GENERAL SERVICES TARIFF, P.S.C. – D.C. NO. 203
1. The Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (Commission) hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 34-802[1] of the District of Columbia Official Code and in accordance with section 2-505 of the District of Columbia Official Code,[2] of its intent to act upon the Application of Verizon Washington, DC Inc. (Verizon DC)[3] in the above-captioned matter in not less than thirty (30) days after the date of publication of this Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the D.C. Register.
2. On April 17, 2012, Verizon DC filed an application requesting authority to amend the following tariff pages:

3. Verizon DC proposes to charge the terms and conditions of its Construction Charge tariff. The proposed new language clarifies the terms and conditions for receiving deposits associated with preconstruction work and general construction activities on public roads or private property.
4. The complete text of this Application is on file with the Commission. The proposed tariff revision is on file with the Commission and may be reviewed at the Office of the Commission Secretary, Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia, 1333 H Street, N.W., West Tower, Suite 200, Washington, D.C. 20005 between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Copies of Verizon DC’s Application may be obtained by visiting the Commission’s website at www.dcpsc.org or at cost, by contacting the Commission Secretary at the above address or at (202) 626-5150.
5. All persons interested in commenting on Verizon DC’s Application may submit written comments and reply comments not later than thirty (30) and forty-five (45) days, respectively, after publication of this notice in the D.C. Register with Brinda Westbrook-Sedgwick, Commission Secretary, at the above address. After the comment period has expired, the Commission will take final action on Verizon DC’s Application.
