IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To recognize, honor, and express deep appreciation to Cynthia Howar for her tireless commitment to excellence and for her manifold contributions to the District of Columbia and her residents, all while seeking to highlight the importance and role of the District of Columbia both regionally and nationally in service to her country.
WHEREAS, Cynthia Howar has enhanced the Hillandale Homeowners Association by serving as President of its Board of Directors since 2007 and through her tireless contributions;
WHEREAS, Cynthia Howar, attorney at law and certified real estate broker with Washington Fine Properties, has been a leader of commerce both locally and nationally, as recognized by her being named among Washington Magazine’s Top Producing Agents in 2015; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia Howar has brought distinction to the city by virtue of her service on multiple Georgetown and Burleith projects, including the Ellington School renovations and the formation of DC FAIR SKIES COALITION, continuing in the footsteps of her father and grandfather by improving the lives of the residents of the area.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the “Cynthia Howar Recognition Resolution of 2016”.
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia is proud to recognize, honor, and express our overwhelming gratitude to Cynthia Howar for her outstanding and inspirational civic actions on behalf of the District of Columbia and her citizens.
Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon the first date of publication in the District of Columbia Register.
