    NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING

     

    The Director of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, pursuant to the authority under sections 101(b) and 2002(l) of the Omnibus Regulatory Reform Amendment Act of 1998, effective April 29, 1998 (D.C. Law 12-86; D.C. Official Code §§ 47-2851.04(c)(1), 47-2851.05(d), 47-2851.12, and 47-2851.19), hereby gives notice of intent to adopt, in not less than thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice in the D.C. Register, amendments to Chapter 5 (Basic Business License Schedule of Fees) of Title 17 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR).

     

    This rulemaking amends section 516.1 to add a new business license category for farmers market managers.

     

    Title 17 DCMR, Chapter 5 is amended as follows:

     

    Subsection 516.1 is amended to read as follows:

     

    516.1         The Director shall charge fees for business license categories with a General Business endorsement as follows:

     

    (a)        Charitable solicitation: $280;

     

    (b)        Cooperative association: $37;

     

    (c)                General business: $200; and

     

    (d)               Street vendor (Class C): $433.
