  • OFFICE OF DOCUMENTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE ISSUANCES

    ERRATA NOTICE

    The Administrator of the Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances (ODAI), pursuant to the authority set forth in section 309 of the District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act, approved October 21, 1968 (82 Stat. 1203; D.C. Official Code § 2-559(2006 Repl.)), hereby gives notice of a correction to section 2405 (Stopping, Standing, or Parking Prohibited: No Sign Required) of chapter 24 (Stopping, Standing, Parking, and Other Non-Moving) of title 18 (Vehicles and Traffic) of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR).

    This errata notice corrects subsection 2405.5.  The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) amended section 2405, in its entirety, in its Notice of Final Rulemaking published at 58 DCR 2497, 2498 (March 18, 2011)).  A grammatical error appeared in the Notice of Final Rulemaking, as well as the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published at 57 DCR 9495 (October 8, 2010).  A comma was inadvertently omitted from between the words “school” and “playground” in subsection 2405.5.  This errata notice corrects this grammatical error by adding the comma between the words “school” and “playground” so that the entire subsection reads as follows:

    2405.5             The following may not be parked on any public thoroughfare in front of, alongside, or in the rear of any private dwelling or apartment, house of worship, school, playground, or hospital; provided, a vehicle may be parked in front of, alongside, or in the rear of such property while engaged in work at such place for which the vehicle is reasonably necessary:

    (a)        Any passenger vehicle with a seating capacity of more than fifteen (15) passengers;

    (b)        A boat;

    (c)        A trailer, whether loaded or unloaded;

    (d)       Any vehicle longer than twenty-two feet (22 ft.) or wider than eight feet (8 ft.); or

    (e)        Any vehicle that has been designed or modified to haul trash, junk, or debris.

    The text of chapter 24 of title 18 of the DCMR is corrected in accordance with the intended text of the Rulemaking.

    Any questions or comments regarding this notice shall be addressed by mail to Administrator, Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances, 441 4th Street, N.W., Suite 520 South, Washington, D.C. 20001, or via telephone at (202) 727-5090.
