Notice is hereby given that this licensee has applied for a substantial change to his license under the D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Control Act and that the objectors are entitled to be heard before the granting of such on the hearing date at 10:00 am, 2000 14th Street, N.W., Suite 400 South Washington, DC 20009. Petition and/or request to appear before the Board must be filed on or before the petition date.
Licensee requests the following substantial change to its nature of operations:
The request is for two new Summer Gardens (which will be known as Terrace 1 and Terrace 2). Terrace 1 will be located on the south side of the second floor facing a parking lot beyond the corner of 41st Street and Brandywine Streets NW. Terrace 1 will have 4 high tables and 8 stools (seats). Terrace 2 is on the north side of the second floor of the building and is “walled in” on three sides by brick and foliage. The fourth side of the Terrace 2 (to the rear of the building) faces a public alley. The other side of the alley is occupied by a multi story commercial building (the former “Broadcast House”). Terrace 2 will offer 36 seats at tables. The total occupancy load indoors is 230 all floors. The total occupancy load outdoors is 44. Total occupancy indoors and outdoors shall be 274.
