Notice of Reprogramming Requests
Pursuant to DC Official Code Sec 47-361 et seq. of the Reprogramming Policy Act of 1990, the Council of the District of Columbia gives notice that the Mayor has transmitted the following reprogramming request(s)
A reprogramming will become effective on the 15th day after official receipt unless a Member of the Council files a notice of disapproval of the request which extends the Council’s review period to 30 days. If such notice is given, a reprogramming will become effective on the 31st day after its official receipt unless a resolution of approval or disapproval is adopted by the Council prior to that time.

Reprog. 19-192: Request to reprogram $5,064,670 of Fiscal Year 2012 Local funds budget authority within the Department of General Services (DGS) was filed in the Office of the Secretary on July 12, 2012. This reprogramming ensures that DGS will be able to meet its obligation to pay the District’s automotive fuel and electricity consumption bills.

Reprog. 19-193: Request to reprogram $1,340,000 of Local funds budget authority from the Master Equipment Lease/Purchase program to the D.C. Taxicab Commission (DCTC) was filed in the Office of the Secretary on July 13, 2012. This reprogramming ensures that DCTC will be able to support the cost of installing the Taxicab Smart Meter System in all District taxicabs.

Reprog. 19-194: Request to reprogram $2,100,000 of Local funds budget authority within the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (DCFEMS) was filed in the Office of the Secretary on July 13, 2012. This reprogramming is needed to address the need for Supplies, Materials, Contracts, Equipment and Information Technology upgrades to support the operational needs of the DCFEMS.

Reprog. 19-195: Request to reprogram $900,000 in capital funds budget authority and allotment from various agencies to the Department of General Services (DGS) was filed in the Office of the Secretary on July 13, 2012. This reprogramming is needed to make essential upgrades to fire alarm systems, which are a priority building improvement project, at various public facilities throughout the District of Columbia; and to ensure the District’s legal compliance with fire and life safety codes.

Reprog. 19-196: Request to reprogram $5,014,246 in capital funds budget authority and allotment from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) was filed in the Office of the Secretary on July 16, 2012. This reprogramming will fund additional interior and exterior modernization improvements at Simon, Leckie, Ketcham, LaSalle, and Nalle Elementary Schools.

Reprog. 19-197: Request to reprogram $700,000 of Fiscal Year 2012 Local funds budget authority within the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) was filed in the Office of the Secretary on July 16, 2012. This reprogramming ensures that DYRS will be able to (1) support data warehousing and system updates; vehicles to transport youth; custodial and maintenance supplies; culinary equipment and supplies; and (2) enhance services for the Outdoor Environmental Learning Center.
