Section 22-B200. GENERAL PROVISIONS

    200.1The purpose of this chapter is to prevent and control the spread of communicable diseases.

     

    200.2This chapter shall be applicable to all cases or suspected cases, contacts, or carriers of the communicable diseases denominated in this chapter insofar as reporting, restriction of movement, isolation, or quarantine are concerned.

     

    200.3This chapter may be supplemented by other regulations applicable to special situations involving the employment of persons in certain institutions, industries, and establishments, or the management of certain patients in institutions or establishments.

     

    200.4Civil fines, penalties, and fees may be imposed as alternative sanctions for any infraction of the provisions of this chapter pursuant to titles I-III of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs Civil Infractions Act of 1985. Adjudication of any infraction of this chapter shall be pursuant to titles I-III of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs Civil Infractions Act of 1985.
