Section 25-C600. PHYSICAL STRUCTURE - BUILDING MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP

    600.1The licensee of a newly constructed, remodeled or renovated swimming pool, spa pool, or sauna shall ensure that the design, construction, building materials, and workmanship complies with the most recent version of the District’s Construction Codes Supplements, as specified in Subsection 102.1(l) of this chapter, or later construction codes.

     

    600.2The licensee of an existing swimming pool, spa pool, or sauna shall maintain the facility in good condition by repairing or replacing structural or design defects, operating systems, or fixtures in use before the effective date of these regulations in accordance with the most recent version of the District’s Construction Codes Supplements, as specified in Subsection 102.1(l) of this chapter.

     

    600.3At least thirty (30) days before beginning construction or remodeling of a swimming pool, spa pool, or sauna, the licensee shall submit construction plans with all schedules, including but not limited to floor plans, elevations, and electrical schematics, to the Department for review and approval, as specified in Sections 706 and 707.2.
