Section 7-1602. GENERAL STANDARDS OF ETHICAL CONDUCT

    1602.1Board employees involved in the procurement process shall conduct business impartially and in a manner above reproach, with preferential treatment for none. Board employees shall strictly avoid any conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest in the procurement process.

     

    1602.2Any attempt by an employee to realize personal gain through employment with the Board by conduct inconsistent with proper discharge of duties is a breach of ethical standards.

     

    1602.3Any attempt by a non-employee to influence any Board employee to breach the standards of ethical conduct set forth in this Section is a breach of ethical standards.

     

    1602.4Any attempt by a Board member to realize personal gain through the exercise of the duties or responsibilities of Board members or to influence any employee to violate the standards of ethical conduct set forth in this Section is a breach of ethical standards.

     

    1602.5The Executive Director shall designate an Ethics Officer to provide guidance on ethical matters.
