Section 7-401. SCOPE AND PURPOSE

401.1These regulations implement §2(a) (1), Summer Youth Jobs of the Youth Employment Act of 1979.

401.2It is the purpose of the Summer Youth Jobs Program to provide summer employment for District of Columbia youth between fourteen (14) and twenty-one (21) years of age. Youth employed in the Summer Youth Jobs Program pursuant to this Act shall be paid at an hourly rate equal to the Federal hourly minimum wage.
