Section 8-A1820. REEMPLOYMENT PRIORITY PROGRAM

    1820.1The School of Law shall establish and maintain a reemployment priority list. The provisions of this section shall not apply to employees in work units established for grants and positions funded by specific contracts.

     

    1820.2An employee's name shall remain on the reemployment priority list for one (1) year from the date he or she was separated from his or her competitive level.

     

    1820.3An employee covered under the provisions of this section shall be entered automatically on the list immediately after it has been determined that the employees will be released pursuant to a reduction in force and not later than issuance of a specific notice of reduction in force.

     

    1820.4The employee's name shall be entered on a reemployment priority list for all positions for which he or she is qualified as follows:

     

    (a)At his or her current grade level; and

     

    (b)At any lower grade acceptable to the employee.

     

    1820.5The School of Law may delete an employee's name from the list when he or she declines a non-temporary position comparable in responsibility and salary to the position from which he or she was separated.
