IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

 

October 2, 2012

 

 

To confirm the appointment of Mr. Timothy Thomas to the District of Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission.

 

 

            RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the “District of Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission Timothy Thomas Confirmation Resolution of 2012”.

 

Sec. 2.  The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

 

Mr. Timothy Thomas

4716 Eastern Avenue, N.E.

Washington, D.C. 20017

(Ward 5)

                                                                                                                       

as a member of the District of Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission, established by section 5 of the District of Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission Act, effective October 8, 1975 (D.C. Law 1-20; D.C. Official Code § 3-604), replacing Jeff Horowitz, for a term to end January 5, 2015.

 

            Sec. 3. The Secretary to the Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.

           

            Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
