Section 15-3117. CREDITS

3117.1If a credit to a subscriber is required pursuant to this chapter 31 or an applicable franchise agreement, the cable operator shall provide the credit to the affected subscriber's account within thirty (30) days after the determination that the subscriber is entitled to a credit. In the case of a subscriber who has disconnected his or her account and no account balance exists, a cable operator shall issue payment equal to the credit to which the person would otherwise be entitled within thirty (30) days after the determination that the person is entitled to the credit. In the case of a subscriber who has disconnected his or her account and an account balance exists, to the extent that a credit exceeds the outstanding balance, the cable operator shall pay the difference to the subscriber within thirty (30) days after the determination that the person is entitled to the credit. In the case of disconnections, a cable operator may condition the issuance of credits upon the timely return of the cable operator's equipment.
