    2607.1Sewage shall be disposed through an approved facility that is a public sewage treatment plant or an individual sewage disposal system that is sized, constructed, maintained, and operated according to the D.C. Plumbing Code (2008) incorporating the International Plumbing Code 2006, as amended by the D.C. Plumbing Code Supplement (Subtitle F of 12 DCMR).P

     

    2607.2Each food establishment served by a sanitary sewer and conducting any activity or activities which generate food wastes shall have and use one (1) or more commercial food waste  grinders that are conveniently located near each such activity and which have adequate capacity to dispose of all readily grindable food waste produced.     2607.3Commercial food waste grinders shall be connected to a drain a minimum of two inches (2 in.) fifty-one millimeters (51 mm) in diameter. Commercial food waste grinders shall be connected and trapped separately from any other fixtures or sink compartments, and shall be provided with a supply of cold water in accordance with the D.C. Plumbing Code (2008) incorporating the International Plumbing Code 2006, as amended by the D.C. Plumbing Code Supplement (Subtitle F of 12 DCMR). P
