Section 29-146. NOTICE OF RIGHT TO A HEARING

    146.1Each applicant for or client of the Vocational Rehabilitation Services Division and his or her designated representative, if any, shall be informed both orally and in writing at the time of the initial application and at the time of any action affecting the applicant’s or client’s claim for services of the following:

     

    (a)The right to request a hearing;

     

    (b)The method by which a hearing may be obtained as set out in § 149 of this chapter;

     

    (c)The right to be represented by legal counsel, relative, friend, or other spokesperson, at the applicant’s or client’s own expense; and

     

    (d)The right to a qualified interpreter, if the party or the party’s witness is deaf, or because of a hearing impairment cannot readily understand or communicate the English language; or

     

    (e)The right to a reader, if the applicant or client or the applicant’s or client’s witness is severely visually impaired.
