Section 8-B116. COMMUNICATION OF OFFICIAL BOARD POSITIONS

    116.1The official position of the Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia shall be the position adopted by the Board of Trustees by official action of the Board or shall reflect the existing policy or rules of the Board or long-standing pattern or practice.

     

    116.2The position of the Board with respect to any personnel matter or matter in litigation or negotiation may be determined by the Board in executive session.

     

    116.3Whenever the official position of the Board of Trustees on any matter is communicated to any public body or official, including any agency of the federal or District government, that position shall be communicated in the following manner:

     

    (a) In writing in the form of a rule, resolution, position paper, proposed rule or legislation, proposed amendment, or statement which has been adopted by action of the Board of Trustees or prepared pursuant to an action of the Board;

     

    (b) Orally or in writing by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees or his or her designee; or

     

    (c) Orally or in writing by the President or other representative of the Board of Trustees or the University, pursuant to a specific action of the Board or otherwise in accordance with the provisions of this section.
