Section 8-B2200. GENERAL UNIVERSITY POLICY ON PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

    2200.1The provisions of this Chapter are intended to promote and maintain an effective property management system for the University, and to insure the efficient, orderly and uninterrupted operations of the University.

     

    2200.2These regulations pertain to the management of personal property, during its entire life cycle. These regulations are not applicable to real property.

     

    2200.3These regulations pertain to the sale, lease, or disposal of surplus property by public auction, competitive sealed bidding, or other appropriate method, provided however, that employees of the University shall be entitled to purchase any surplus property.

     

    2200.4The Board of Trustees hereby delegates all authority pertaining to University personal property management, to the President of the University.

     

    2200.5The President shall appoint or designate an "Accountable Property Officer" who shall have the primary responsibility to carry out the provisions of this Chapter.

     

    2200.6The Accountable Property Officer is hereby designated a contracting officer for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of this Chapter.
